Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette - Review

Welcome to another edition of Frugal Friday!

Today I'll be doing a quick review of the Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette.  This became popular when a lot of beauty YouTubers started talking about it last year.

The packaging is mirrored gold so it's really pretty.  This also makes it hard to photograph as you can see below.

This palette includes 3 powders and a cream.

Note: Since the highlighters don't have names, I've captioned the swatch photo above with where they are placed in the palette.  Also, I didn't test out the cream highlighter so I will only be speaking to the powders.

Although they feel chalky when swatched, these highlighters apply beautifully to the skin.  I apply them to my cheekbones and they give off a gorgeous sheen.  If I were to only use one highlighter in the palette, I would use the gold one on the bottom left.  The lavender one (top right) and the pink powder (bottom right) don't look natural on me, so if I use them, I make sure to swirl them with the gold.  That combo makes a beautiful wearable color.  I've actually been testing the wear of these highlighters by wearing them on one cheek while wearing a high end highlighter on the other (I've compared this with Becca, Makeup Forever, and Laura Geller highlighters).  The Sleek highlighters were just as pretty!  Though at the end of the day, my cheek with the high end highlighters definitely was more noticeable so the Sleek wore off a bit faster.  That said, these are still beautiful great quality highlighters!

The best part is that the Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette is only $14.99 and can be purchased anywhere that sells Sleek Makeup including Ulta.
