Sephora VIB Sale Haul & First Impressions - Fall 2017

Happy Cyber Monday everyone!

I wanted to get my VIB Sale Haul up in case you had any of these items on your radar for some Cyber Monday shopping!

I got a ton of makeup and skincare items!

Let's start with skincare (and one haircare item)!

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
If you're a reader of my blog you already know I'm obsessed with the scent of this body lotion!  It's a mix of vanilla, pistachio, and caramel and it's just heavenly!

IGK Prenup Instant Spray Hair Mask
I did try this once and it was not good at all.  It sprays as a liquid so I don't really see the point of the spray at all, it's a gimmick.  Also, it's not nearly thick or moisturizing enough to be a hair mask.  I'll be returning this item.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum
I just recently finished a deluxe size sample of this product and I found it really did improve the look of my skin.  I felt it lessened my hyper-pigmentation (you can read more about my thoughts on it in a recent favorites post) so I decided to repurchase it.

Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Baby Facial
I admit, I fell into the hype of this product.  I have used it once already and it does make my skin look brighter and feel really soft after use.  It has a whopping 25% AHA and a blend of tons of other acids.  However, I don't know if it's any better than when I use my beloved GlamGlow Supermud mask.  I will use this product 1-2 more times before I decide if I will keep it.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner
This is another item that I fell for the hype.  Since I only use toner to remove the last bits of my makeup, I typically go for drugstore toners.  However, this one has been on my radar for a while now so I figured I'd try it.  It smells like rose water which is nice.  I'm sure it's a perfectly good toner so I do plan to keep it and finish it.

Too Cool For School Egg Cream Sheet Mask
This sounds gross but it also sounds super hydrating and I got it to try when my skin becomes inevitably dry this winter.

Now let's get into the makeup!

Dior Airflash Spray Foundation
I've been wanting to try this foundation for years!  I haven't had a chance to try it yet so I'm not sure if I'll like it since it's supposed to be a light foundation and I prefer full coverage so we'll see how I like it.

Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation
I've been wanting to try this foundation forever too because it's supposed to be full coverage and long-lasting.  I did try it a few times and while it's full coverage, as you know I judge all foundations against my favorite Estee Lauder Double Wear and if it's not as good as that, I'll simply return the foundation.  I'll try this foundation a few more times with different powders to give it a real shot and then decide.

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer
I've tried samples of this primer before and really liked it.  It feels silky and provides as even canvas to apply foundation.

Kat Von D Lock-It Makeup Setting Spray
I've heard great things about this setting spray so I decided to try the mini version.  I'll have to try it a few more times before deciding if it's one of my favorites.  The mist is really fine and nice.

Urban Decay The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In-Medium
I bought this to use as a makeup setting powder.  It is extremely finely milled and feels like silk.  I've only used it over one type of foundation so far so I will use it a few more times over other foundations before I form a true opinion.  So far I can say that it's quite drying under the eyes.  I compare all setting powders to my favorite which is the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder so if it's better than that, I'll keep it.  If not, it's going right back.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Loose Setting Powder
I actually haven't had a chance to try this powder yet but I'm looking forward to it because it's getting good reviews.  As with the powder above, if it doesn't beat my Laura Mercier powder, I will return it.

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Perfume
I love the smell of this perfume, it's kind of a milder version of Tresor which I also love.

And now on to some lippies!

Marc Jacobs Lip Gloss in Skin Deep
I love the Marc Jacobs glosses, they are super shiny!  The shade Skin Deep is a really great nude on me.  I'll be doing a full review of this and another shade soon, so stay tuned!

Huda Beauty Lip Strobe in Angelic
This is a beautiful metallic gloss with peach and gold reflections.  However, I was looking for more of a shimmery gloss than a metallic so this will be going back (see swatch below).

Fenty Beauty Cosmic Gloss Lip Glitter in Spacesuit
This is a gorgeous glittery peach gloss.  It's simply a non-metallic version of the Huda Beauty gloss above.  (swatch below).

Swatches

L-R: Marc Jacobs Skin Deep, Huda Angelic, Fenty Spacesuit

Wow, I got a lot of stuff but as I stated above, I do plan to return some items so it's not TOO bad!  I also did get a few gifts which I obviously am not showing here.

Did you go nuts during this sale?  What did you get??
