Beauty Empties & Reviews - October 2017

Hi Beauties!

Here's everything I finished up in October and mini reviews of each item.

Hair Products

Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner
This conditioner did a good job at smoothing my hair and it was moisturizing.  That said, I'm glad I finished it, I don't think that I'll be buying jumbo sized shampoos and conditioners anymore as I get really bored with them because they just last so long.

Kenra Platinum Silkening Mist
This is a great shine spray and I love that it's aerosol.  It smells great too.  I'd repurchase.

Skincare

Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner
I use toners to remove the lasts bits of my makeup and this did a great job of that.  I've repurchased this many times over the years and I'd repurchase it again.

Ole Henrikson Truth Serum
This product actually made it into my September Favorites.  It improved the texture of my skin and really reduced my hyperpigmentation.  I'd repurchase this.

Estee Edit Pink Peony Oversight Water Pack
This was really moisturizing.  I used it as a deep moisturizer after using my GlamGlow mask.

Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Bleue Perfume
I know this isn't skincare, but I didn't know what other category to put it in.  This perfume had a light feminine floral scent which I really liked.

Makeup

Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray
This is my second favorite makeup setting spray (my #1 favorite is Model in a Bottle).  It does a great job of making my makeup last and look great for hours.  I will be keeping the bottle because I have other setting sprays with horrible sprayers that I will transfer into this bottle.

Maybelline Color Tattoos
I'm finally getting rid of all of my Color Tattoos because they are all dry at this point.  They were great when they were new though and I'd repurchase.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation
I've tried this foundation a few times over the years, and I never loved it.  Using it again now made me decide once and for all that this product is just a huge fail for me.  It doesn't last no matter how much I apply, or what primer or setting spray I use with it.  After just a couple of hours it starts to look blotchy on me and then just disappears.  Not to mention that it made me breakout in several spots around my nose this time I used it.  I would never ever repurchase this foundation.

Revlon Age Defying Concealer
I actually liked this concealer and I don't even know if it's still sold.  It had good coverage and was one of my favorite concealers at the drugstore.

L.A. Girl Pro Conceal
I don't get the hype over this concealer.  I never liked it very much.  Sure, it's cheap but there are better drugstore concealers.  I wouldn't repurchase this.

Cover Fx Illuminating Primer
Sometimes I think that illuminating or moisturizing "primers" are really just glorified moisturizers.  I've only tried one that actually makes my skin look better for foundation or makes my foundation last longer and that's the one from First Aid Beauty.  I wouldn't repurchase this.

Benefit Porefessional Primer
This is one of my favorite primers.  It really does smooth out the canvas of my skin to allow foundation to apply more smoothly.  I think that it makes my foundation last longer as well.  I'd repurchase if I needed a new primer.

Dior Forever Foundation
This was a decent foundation and had good coverage.  However, since I compare all foundations to Estee Lauder DoubleWear, this one wasn't as good so I wouldn't repurchase.

Phew, it felt great to get rid of a lot of so many makeup products this month!

p.s. I CAN NOT wrap my head around the fact that it's November!
