September Favorites & Fails - ColourPop, Marc Jacobs, FAB, & More!

Hi Beauties!

Here are my favorite products of the past month as well as one surprising fail.

Let's start with my faves!

ColourPop Yes Please Eyeshadow Palette
I really love this palette and at $16 it's a great price!  The quality of the shadows is really good and the mix of shades is gorgeous!  You can read my full review and see more photos including swatches, here.

Ole Henrikson Truth Serum
In my honest opinion, it's rare for a skincare product to do what it says it will.  I received this sample in a Play By Sephora box and I've been using it every night for about a month and a half.  This product has really improved the quality of my skin.  My hyper pigmentation has lessoned and overall my skin just looks more clear and smooth.  I may actually like this more than Sunday Riley's Good Genes!

First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer
I really like this primer!  It smoothes my skin and is moisturizing.  On days that I use this, I use this as my moisturizing and primer.  It allows my foundation to go on smoothly, though I can't really say that it prolongs the look of my foundation.  I recommend it if you're looking for more of a smoothing moisturizing primer.

Marc Jacobs Enamored Lipgloss in Love Drunk
This has become my favorite lipgloss formula that I own and I would love to get more!  It's not sticky at all and super shiny.  The color Love Drunk is a beautiful brown/mauve.  I have a full review of this gloss coming soon!

Marc Jacob Lipgloss in Love Drunk

And now onto my fail...

Great photo, I know.  :)

Fenty Beauty Foundation
I was able to get 4 full uses out of this sample.  I used it with various types of primers (illuminating, mattifying, pore-filling, smoothing) and I tried not setting it with powder and setting it with my Laura Mercier setting powder (which can do no wrong, as you can read here).  This foundation looked good the first 1-2 hours, but after that it looked blotchy and practically disappeared from my face as the day wore on. I'm confused as to how people are saying that it gives them a flawless filtered look to their skin as I didn't find that at all.  Just goes to show how differently products can work for different skin types!

Those are my faves and one fail for the month.  Have you tried anything from Fenty Beauty yet?  If so, how do you like it?  I'd like to try one of the more subtle highlighters.
