Play! By Sephora Unboxing & Review - May 2017

Hi Beauties!

The Play! By Sephora box is a beauty subscription service that is $10 per month and includes 5 deluxe beauty samples and a perfume.  Every sample is from a high end brand that is sold at Sephora.  The samples come in a cloth drawstring bag.  You can sign up HERE to get on the waitlist.

This month's bag is different in that it's a clear plastic instead of a cloth drawstring.

Milk Makeup Blur Stick
This is a matte coverage blurring primer.  I've received this sample in a previous Sephora order so I've already tried this product.  I didn't care for it, then again, I don't have oily skin or large pores.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask
This mask works like a peel treatment to purify and revitalize the skin.  I like trying face masks, so I was glad to see this in this month'y box.  I tried it once and I found that my skin did look a bit brighter and feel a little softer after but it didn't do anything remarkable.  I think I have enough left for another very thin layer mask.

Grande Lips Lip Plumper
This is a clear gloss that uses a hyaluronic acid-infused formula to visibly plump and soften the lips over time.  This isn't an instant lip plumper.  It does have a slight tingle but I don't notice my lips looking any bigger the first few times I've used it.

Trestique Highlight + Perfect Multipurpose Stick in Maldives Luminescent
This is a really pretty stick highlighter in a champagne shade.  However, this product didn't excite me because I feel like at this point we've gotten so many stick or liquid highlighters in this subscription box.

Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask
I love trying hair masks so I was glad that this was included in this month's box.  However, it didn't even have enough product for one use and my hair isn't that long!  I had to use another conditioner with this product so I can't even tell if I would have liked it.  Kind of defeats the purpose of a sample.  Get your act together Sephora and/or Rahua brand!  I can tell you that it had a very herbal-y scent which I didn't enjoy.

Clean Reserve Sel Santal
This perfume has notes of sun-warmed woods, salty ocean air, and fresh green fig leaves.  Sure, ok.  To be honest, this smelled like a men' cologne, and not a good one at that.

Overall I though this month's Play! By Sephora Box wasn't great.  I only slightly enjoyed the face mask.
