Beauty Empties - Products I Used Up & Reviews - April 2017

Hi Beauties!

Here's everything I used up in April and some mini reviews.  Grab a snack because somehow I went through a lot of things last month!

Hair Products

Kenra Finishing Spray
I really liked this hairspray but it's pricey for a hairspray so I would only repurchase if it was on super sale.

Drybar Triple Sec 3-In-1
This is a texturizer and "refresher".  I liked this as a texturizer, it made my hair look thicker.  I used 100 points at Sephora to get this sample and it only had enough product in it for one use which I found extremely annoying.

Moroccanoil Treatment
This is my favorite hair oil.  It never looks greasy and does a great job at making my hair look less frizzy.

Christophe Robin Hair Mask
I love this hair mask!  It did a wonderful job at making my hair soft and smooth.  However, the full size is super expensive at $71 so sadly, I'd never purchase it.

Philosophy One-Step Facial Cleanser
This is a perfectly fine face cleanser but I really don't see why it gets so much hype.  It's good, but no better or worse than most other face cleansers.  I also found this bottle to be really annoying because the plastic was super stiff so it was hard to squeeze product out.

Murad Sheer Lustre Day Moisture
This was a good light moisturizer.  It felt really nice on my face but I can't say that it's better than most other light moisturizers that I've used so I wouldn't repurchase.

Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray
I actually used this as a toner and it was fine.  It has an herbal scent which I don't like, to me it smelled like an attic.

Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Peel
I got 2 of these peel pads my recent Sephora Play! box.  I didn't notice any improvement in my skin after using these so I wouldn't repurchase unless I could try to sample more than 2.

Sunday Riley Good Genes
This is a wonderful skincare product!  I really did notice that it lessened the hyperpigmentation in my skin.  I used this sample 2-3x/week since November and I just ran out now!  This product is pricey so I may repurchase it during the fall VIB sale when it's 20% off.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream
This was a nice eye cream and this tiny sample lasted me nearly 2 months.  It's light and absorbs into the skin quickly so it's good for under makeup.  Since it's not super moisturizing, I'd say that it's more of a daytime eye cream.

Farmacy Brightening Sheet Mask
This came with 3 sheet masks and I really liked them!  I noticed my face looked brighter after I used these.

Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
This is a great thick body cream but my favorite thing about this product is the scent!  It's a mix of caramel and pistachio and it's heavenly.  I recently purchased the body mist and I love it.

Elf Cleansing Cloths
Ok, cleansing cloths aren't makeup but I accidentally included them in the makeup empties photo so they're included in this section. :)
These wipes are excellent.  I only use facial cleansing wipes on arm makeup swatches, not on my face.  These are really moist and did a great job at removing swatches.  I'd repurchase.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
These facial wipes are terrible.  Not moist enough and even with vigorous wiping, barely ever fully remove a swatch.

Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector
I didn't like this primer at all because it balled up on my skin.

Clinique Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer
I really liked this primer.  It helped my foundation go on smoothly and I think that it helped it last longer.  It also gave a matte look but didn't make me look dry.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation
I've finally found a close second place to my favorite foundation (which is Estee Lauder Double Wear). This is full coverage and lasts all day.  I may purchase this someday.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation
This is my favorite foundation at the drugstore.  It's full coverage and with a good setting powder it looks great throughout my 8 hour workday.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder
I liked this setting powder but it wasn't better than my Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder so I wouldn't repurchase this.

Physician's Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Concealer
This concealer was way too sheer for my liking so I wouldn't repurchase it.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
This is a an excellent liquid liner.  This didn't actually dry up but the tip is kind of feathering so it doesn't apply nicely anymore so I'm getting rid of it.

Starlooks "Charmed" Ultra Longwear Lip Pencil
I don't think I've had this long but it's completely dry and unusable which makes me not want to purchase a Starlooks brand Lip Liner in the future.

Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Crash
This pencil doesn't stay pigmented and smooth for very long throughout the day.  A few hours after I apply this to my upper lash line, it looks dull and smudged a bit.  I have several more of these pencils and I'm finding some are good and some are having these effects so I'm decluttering those from my collection over the next few months.

Chloe Perfume
I don't like this perfume at all.  It smells really strong with a mix of floral and chemicals.

Whew, if you managed to get through this entire post, thanks for sticking around!

Have you tried any of these products?  What are your thoughts on them?
