The Play! By Sephora box is a beauty subscription service that is $10 per month and includes 5 deluxe beauty samples and a perfume. Every sample is from a high end brand that is sold at Sephora. The samples come in a cloth drawstring bag. You can sign up HERE to get on the waitlist.
The theme for this month's box is The Soft Side. That explains the satin-y material of the bag this month.
Clinique Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer
This is a lightweight, oil-free moisturizing primer that instantly blurs imperfections for a silky, soft-focus finish. This primer feels really nice on the skin, I look forward to trying it with foundation.
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Perfume
This perfume has notes of bergamot, lemon and lavender. It's a really nice fresh scent that I'm surprised I like.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream
This is a luminous eye cream infused with coffee beans, ginseng, and magnolia extract to brighten and depuff the undereye area. I'm always on the lookout for a great eye cream, so I look forward to trying this sample.
Sephora Collection Lashcraft Length & Volume Mascara
This is a volumizing mascara with a flat paddle-shaped wand to lengthen and lift lashes. I like trying different mascaras so this will be nice to try.
Bite Beauty Multistick in Cashew
This is a creamy all-natural multi-purpose blending stick that can be used on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. I already have a few other shades of this product and I honestly don't love it. However, this shade is a decent nude/brown lip color for me and it looks great topped with the Too Faced gloss in this box (see below).
Too Faced Lip Injection Gloss in Milkshake
This is a sheer gloss that is supposed to plump the lips. It's pretty clear on me and does tingle a bit. This gloss actually looks great with the Bite Multistick sample that was included in this box. The combo is a perfect nude on me.
|L-R: Bite Beauty - Cashew, Too Faced - Milkshake|
Overall I liked this month's Play! By Sephora Box. I liked the perfume, Bite Multistick, and Too Faced gloss and I'm excited to try the Clinique primer and the Origins eye cream.
You know what would make the Play! By Sephora box really great, is if we got a full-size Sephora brand product in every box. Especially considering the samples we get are typically very tiny and most can be "bought" with Sephora points at some time or another. Just my 2 cents on this particular subscription box.
