L'Oreal Infallible Lip Paints* - Review

Welcome to a long overdue edition of Frugal Friday (on Wednesday!).

Today I'll be reviewing and swatching the L'Oreal Infallible Lip Paints.

L'Oreal Infallible Lip Paints

This lip product is a highly pigmented liquid laquer.  They claim to deliver full coverage color in one stroke. They are available in 14 shades from nudes to bolds.

I received the shades Taupeless, Nude Star, and Sultry Sangria.

Taupeless is a the gray/mauve shade that is popular right now.

Nude Star is a nude rosy/brown.

Sultry Sangria is a deep wine shade.

I would say that calling these a lip lacquer seems right.  I'd maybe even categorize these as a lip cream. They are richly pigmented but I do have to dip back into the tube to get full coverage on my lips.  They definitely have shine and they are not long-lasting or transfer-proof.  They feel very comfortable and soft on the lips.

The shade Sultry Sangria is totally unwearable for me because it's so messy.  I think that because it's so creamy, it's extremely difficult to apply such a deep bold shade as it's very messy and gets on everything. You can see this in my lip swatch above.  I absolutely love Nude Star on me which is surprising because it looks slightly peachy and I typically hate peach lip colors for my skintone.  Taupeless is really pretty and unique, although it seems odd to wear this type of color on the lips, it actually works and is really wearable and has become my favorite of the 3 shades.

The L'Oreal Infallible Lip Paints retail for about $9.99 and you can buy them anywhere that L'Oreal products are sold including Ulta.

*I received this product for review.  All statements are 100% honest and my own.
