January 2017 Beauty Empties & Reviews

Hi Beauties!

Here's everything I finished up last month and my thoughts on each item!

Hair Products

Redken All Soft Conditioner
I really liked this conditioner.  It was thick and made my hair really soft.  I like trying different moisturizing conditioners so that it the only reason I wouldn't repurchase this.

L'Oreal Preference Mousse Absolue
This box hair color is a must have if you regularly color your roots at home.  It's not like other at-home box dyes in that they are one use only.  This can be used over and over again which makes it a great purchase!  I already have a back-up of this.

Ouai Treatment Masque
This was in my January Play! By Sephora box and this particular sample was a huge dud in that it was less than half-full and super runny.  Luckily I actually had another sample of this that came in a Sephora Favorites set and that sample was nice and thick (as a hair mask should be!) and made my hair pretty soft.  That said, my hair was not amazing enough to make me want to repurchase this mask.

Kenra Platinum Revive Oil
This is a very light hair oil that made my hair nice and smooth.  I would definitely repurchase this if  I didn't already have about 10 hair oils I need to use up.

Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask
This was a good hair mask that made my hair soft, but there was nothing too special about it, especially for the price of such a small tube being $16.  As with all other Moroccanoil brand products, this did smell amazing.  I wouldn't repurchase.

Body Products

Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Shower Gel
I love BBW products and the scent of this is really nice.  I would repurchase but I already have a ton of back-ups in different scents.

Dermadoctor KP Duty
This is the only product that helps the KP on the back of my arms!  I just wish it wasn't so expensive at $38 a tube.  I try to buy it when Ulta or Sephora have a discount coupon.

Matrix Biolage Sugar Shine Polishing Hair Scrub
This is actually to scrub your hair/scalp before shampoo.  It honestly felt like a body scrub so after I read reviews of how many people hated using it in their hair, I decided to use this sample on my my body.  It was a perfectly fine body scrub.  I wouldn't repurchase though because I don't plan on using it on my hair.

Skincare

Freeman Cleansing Clay Mask
This mask didn't make my skin look or feel cleaner or brighter at all.  I wouldn't repurchase.

GlamGlow YouthMud Mask
I love GlamGlow masks and the YouthMud is one of my faves!  It makes my skin super bright and clean and fresh.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
This was a nice face cleanser.  To be honest, it wasn't anything special though so I wouldn't purchase this again.

Makeup

Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation
This is a great full coverage foundation.  It's now the closest contender to my favorite which is Estee Lauder Double Wear.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
At this point I've tried this foundation numerous times and I can say that it's decent but it's not full coverage or long-lasting enough for me.  I wouldn't purchase a full size of this.

L'Oreal Lumi Cushion Foundation
This foundation looks amazing when it's first applied!  I was actually shocked as I was applying it how great my skin looked.  However, it faded a lot after only a few hours, even if I set it with a high end setting powder.  I wouldn't repurchase this.

I think I had a pretty successful month of finishing up products!  Happy February everyone!
