Play! By Sephora Unboxing & Review - July

The Play By Sephora Box is a beauty subscription service that is $10 per month and includes 5 deluxe beauty samples and a perfume.  Every sample is from a high end brand that is sold at Sephora.  The samples come in a cloth drawstring bag.  You can sign up HERE to get on the waitlist.

Here's what was in my July box/bag.

Nest Fragrances Citrine
I typically don't like citrus scented perfumes (citrus scents just make me thing of cleaning products!) but this one is ok because it also has some woodsy notes.

Benefit Dew The Hoola Liquid Bronzer
This is a matte liquid bronzer.  I actually already own this sample as a freebie I got from an Ulta order a while ago.  I don't use liquid bronzers but I tried mixing this with a foundation that was too light for me and that was fine.  It did thin out my foundation though.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
For some reason I have several samples of this already.  That said, I have never tried it.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Again, I already own a few samples of this product.  It's a very good foundation primer.

Beauty Blender Blotterazzi
This is a washable and reusable cushion that absorbs oil and shine.  I don't get oily but I do get sweaty, so I guess I could use it for that??  This also came with a sample of the Beauty Blender Cleanser which I have tried and like.

Ouai Wave Spray
I was excited to try this brand of hair products since it's created by Jen Atkin, hair stylist to many celebs.  I tried this a couple of times and it did nothing for my hair.  It didn't enhance my waves at all.  In fact, it made my hair feel sticky and heavy.

Overall the July Play! By Sephora box was a dud for me, but that's sort of my own problem because I already own 3 of the samples.

You can sign up for this box HERE.
