Here's everything I used up in June and mini reviews of each product.
Redken Extreme Conditioner
I didn't like this conditioner at all. For being called "Extreme" it wasn't very moisturizing at all. In fact, it was really thin and watery. I had to use a ton to get it throughout my whole head of hair. I wouldn't repurchase.
L'Oreal Preference Mousse Absolue Hair Color
I love this hair color because you don't have to use the whole thing at once. There's no mixing, you just shake the above container and then apply. I use this only on my roots when my white hairs come back so I don't need much and using a whole box of regular hair color is a waste. I always repurchase this.
Up & Up Nail Polish Remover
I know this isn't really a body product but I didn't know where else to put it. :) Anyways, this is straight up acetone so it removes nail polish quickly and easily. It does dry out my skin and nails however. I would repurchase.
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter
This is a wonderful thick body cream that is great for dry skin. It also smells amazing! I would definitely repurchase this.
Cocoa Brown1 Hour Dark Tan Mousse
This is a great self tanner because you only need to have it on for a few hours (I know it says one hour but the longer you leave it on, the darker you'll get) to get some color. It doesn't have a scent and it's not that sticky. It doesn't make me dark but it does give me some color when I'm pale. You can read my full review here.
NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash
I used this face wash on and off since I got it. It's really potent with 18% glycolic acid so it's not for sensitive skin. In fact, if I have a scratch or pimple that I've recently picked at, it burns a lot! I do love that it rinses totally clean and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and bright. I probably wouldn't repurchase due to the burning effects. You can read my full review here.
Tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum
This did give my skin a subtle tan BUT, it reeks so bad! It has the really strong self-tanner scent that to me smells like a mix of feet and onions. Nasty! This is barely used and I'm tossing it.
Olay Regenerist Luminous Dark Circle Correcting Hydraswirl
I didn't notice this eye cream to improve the look of my undereyes but it's light and absorbs quickly so it's great for under makeup. I wouldn't repurchase it.
Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray
This is a good makeup setting spray. I have another small bottle of this which I will use up. I have a lot of different brands of setting sprays that I need to use up but my favorite is hands down Model in a Bottle. I would repurchase that once I run out of all my other setting sprays.
Becca Aqua Luminous Foundation
I got this as a sample from Sephora and I got several uses out of it so I feel I am able to form an informed opinion on it. I didn't like this foundation at all. It is really watery and had light coverage.
I got a new job! I didn't share this here, but I was actually laid off last fall and it took me this long to find a new job. It's a really difficult thing to go through. But I started the job a few weeks ago and it's going well. Phew!
I'm finding that not much in the makeup world has been exciting me lately. I did finally see the Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette in person the other day and swatched it. WOW, I need that in my life! Sure, I always thought it was pretty from the reviews I'd seen but I didn't know how beautiful it is till I saw it with my own eyes. Sadly, my Ulta says they won't get it in again until October. Ugh!
You may have noticed that I've been posting less lately. The reason is pretty much what I stated above. I've really been focused on my new job and not much has excited me in the makeup world so I don't have much to write about. I'm hoping to feel a bit more motivated soon.
