Create the Perfect Fall Waves With The BeachWaver S1 Curling Iron* - Review

Hi Beauties!

I teamed up with People Style Watch and Ulta Beauty to tell you about my favorite new-to-me curling iron! It is an amazing curling iron from Sarah Potempa called the Beachwaver S1.  This can be found at Ulta Beauty for $129.

From Ulta:

Rotate your way to perfect waves with the Beachwaver S1. Now, with an arrow button and a fast/slow speed switch, the S1 is even easier to use. A new home button gives you the ability to reset the clamp at the start position for easy styling. With the Beachwaver S1, you can create three different styles including defined curls, loose beachy waves and glam waves. This ceramic, rotating curling iron provides easy, quality waves in minutes!
The Beachwaver has a digital temperature clock and heats up to 410 degrees.

It has a small clamp to hold hair in place.  What this means is that you get the benefits of a nice hot curling wand without risking burning yourself because you won't have to hold your hair against the wand yourself. Yay!  This curling iron also features an automatic rotator that will rotate both ways.  You simply clamp some hair into the clamp and press the rotator button forwards or backwards to your choosing (I like to alternate to create a nice tousled look).  So you basically just hold the curling iron and while pressing the rotation button the iron will curl up your hair.  There's also an option of having it rotate slow or fast, I recommend just using the slow option.

This curling iron is truly fool proof!  I've owned a ton of curling irons in my days and this is hands down the easiest to use.  After about 5 seconds, I release my hair from the clamp and then work on the rest of my hair.  Using this curling iron I can get my entire head curled in less than 10 minutes and as you can see below, I have a lot of hair!

The products I like to use when I curl my hair in order of use are shown below from left to right.

I start with the Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Spray.  I spray this in my hair after it's towel dried and before I use a blow dryer.  It makes my hair dry a lot quicker while also making it shiny and protecting it from heat.

After allowing my hair to cool, I loosen the curls with my fingers.  Since the barrel is only one inch thick the curls do come out a little too tight for my liking so I like to put some hair serum on my fingers while running my fingers through my hair to loosen the curls.  My favorite right now is the Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Oil which I received as a sample in my Boxycharm box.  This calms the curls down while also putting some shine in my hair.  To add some texture to my hair I spray Kenra Dry Texture Spray in between the curls and finally I finish everything off with some Frizz-Ease hairspray to hold the curls.  If I find I want more shine I'll spray some Kenra Silkening Mist shine spray.

Here is a photo of my hair using the Beachwaver S1.  I wanted more of an undone wavy/curl so I left the bottom 1.5 inches of my hair out of the curling iron.

Ever since I received this curling iron, it's been my goto because it's just so quick and easy to use!

What is your favorite curling iron?
