Elf Play Beautifully Haul and Review* - Frugal Friday

Hi Beauties!

I can't believe that this is my very first post about Elf Cosmetics!

Elf Cosmetics Play Beautifully Makeup

Elf recently sent me a few items.  I received a Perfect Finish HD Powder, an eyeshadow palette in Tantalizing Taupe, an Eyeliner & Shadow Stick, a Lip Balm, and a Matte Lip Crayon.

Elf Cosmetics Play Beautifully Makeup

This is a really soft white translucent powder and the compact comes with a hidden compartment for a sponge.  I don't recommend using the sponge though as I've found that it's easy to over apply this product and get a bit of a white powdery look to the skin.  It's best to swirl your powder brush VERY lightly into the powder and apply it lightly to the face.

Essential Flawless Eyeshadow Palette in Tantalizing Taupe - $2.00
This is a really nice neutral eyeshadow palette.  The shadows are pigmented but they are a bit crumbly.  However if you love neutrals, $2 for 4 shadows...you can't beat that!

Eyeliner & Shadow Stick - $3
I love that neither side of this liner/shadow stick require sharpening, they are twist-up.  I love the gray eye shadow, I use it as a base for powder shadows.  The eyeliner is nicely black but I have found that it does smudge a bit after a long day.

Elf Eyeliner & Shadow Stick

Lip Balm in Pink - $3
This is a nice lip balm that gives off just a hint of color.

Elf Lip Balm

Matt Lip Color - $3
Elf sent me the shade Wine and I actually already own the shade Tea Rose.  They are semi-matte and not drying at all.  I love Tea Rose and wear it often!

While Elf does have some hits and misses in their line, it's fun to play around with their products since they are rediculously affordable!  Of this bunch, I especially love the Matte Lip Crayons.

What's your favorite Elf product?
