April Beauty Empties & Mini Reviews

Hi Beauties!

Here are all the beauty products I finished up in the month of April.  Grab a cup of coffee or a cocktail and settle in because I went through a ton of stuff!

Body Products

Caress Exfoliating Body Wash Burnt Brown Sugar & Karite Butter
I absolutely loved this body wash.  It smelled like delicious cookies and did a great job at exfoliating my skin.  I already have a back up of this.

Bath & Body Works Forever Sunshine Body Cream
This smelled really great but it was old and I think it went bad.  The cream itself was a bit clumpy and it had an under tone scent of feet so I figured it was time to get rid of it even though there was a lot left.

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub
I loved this body scrub.  I would use a regular shower gel and then scrub my body with this using just my hands.  My skin felt really soft and exfoliated when I used this.

Vita Liberata Luxury Tan
I got this mini in a Summer Favorites set from Sephora.  This was a nice self tanner with no scent.  However, it wasn't really dark enough for me but I could tell it was a decent self tanner.  If I were to purchase this, I'd get it in dark.

Derma Doctor Shrinking Beauty Lotion
This is supposed to be a firming and sculpting body lotion.  It did no such thing  and it was only a decent body lotion, I wouldn't repurchase.

Hair Products

Garnier Curl Shaping Spray Gel
This bottle is easily 3-4 years old and still has a lot left but I haven't even touched it in a few years so I'm getting rid of it.  I used to use this when my hair was still wet and scrunch it.  It defined my waves but also made them look wet and crunchy.  I wouldn't repurchase.

InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Mask
This was a great hair mask.  It didn't weigh my hair down and made it really shiny and soft.  Full review here.

Suave Natural Infusion Moisturizing Light Oil Spray
I liked this oil spray.  It did a good job at managing my hair and making it shiny.  I would recommend spraying this into your hands and then applying it to your hair.  Spraying it directly into your hair can make the sprayed sections of your hair appear oily.

Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray
This just made my hair look and feel dirty.  I didn't like it at all.

Frizz-Ease Hair Spray
This is my favorite hairspray because it has great hold.  My hair isn't "touchably soft" when I use this, but I'm ok with that as long as it holds my curls.

Nume Finishing Serum
This is a decent frizz control serum.  I applied this to my hair when it was wet and after it dried my hair looked tamed.  This is extremely thick so you need a tiny amount.

Bumble and Bumble Blow Dry Repair
This was supposed to repair my hair with every blow dry.  It definitely didn't do that but it was a nice hair cream.  I wouldn't repurchase though because it was nothing special.

Face Products

GlamGlow YouthMud Mask
I've talked about my love for GlamGlow masks a thousand times on this blog so I won't bore you again.  If you like, you can read my full review of all the GlamGlow masks here.

Makeup

Hourglass Veil Foundation and Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer (both not shown)
These were both samples but I was able to get several uses out of each.  Both were decent foundations but nothing special.  I prefer full coverage long lasting foundations and these were neither.

Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation
I liked this foundation a lot.  It's full coverage and lasts all day.  See my full review here.

ELF Tone Correcting Powder
I used this as a finishing powder and I really liked it, it gave my face a nice finished look.  I'd purchase it again.

Mistura Complexion Corrector
I got this concealer from a Boxycharm box.  It's in a lipstick form and it broke after just a few uses.  Aside from that, the formulation didn't work for me at all.  It made my under eyes look really dry and the coverage wasn't great.

YSL Faux Cils Mascara
This is my holy grail mascara.  I was lucky enough to have gotten a replacement from Influenster.  See my full review here.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
Man, was this a wet mascara!  At first it clumped a ton and just weight my lashes down.  I left it open overnight (by accident) and it still didn't dry out.  It did dry out a bit which made it more usable.  I liked that it was super black but there wasn't much else I loved about it.  I wouldn't repurchase.

Well that's all my empties for April.  Have a great week everyone!

Extras:

Do you guys still watch Grey's Anatomy?  If so, I can't even believe what they did!  I'm heartbroken!

I love that that the weather is getting so nice!  I'm looking forward to summer outfits and not having to bundle up when I leave the house!
