Today I'll be discussing the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains. These came out a few months ago and I couldn't wait to get my hands on them just because of the name. I love lip stains and if they're moisturizing, even better!
"ColorStay Moisture Stain is a virtually weightless, creamy and moiturizing stain. Drenches lips in glossy wet color and creamy moisture with vitamin E & Aloe. 88% of women felt lips were instantly hydrated without stickiness." -Ulta
I have the shades London Posh, LA Exclusive, and India Intrigue. I love the fun vacation city names of these!

The lip swatches shown took about 5 swipes each to get the color to cover my entire lips. Not because they aren't pigmented, but because they're so goopy. These lip stains were a big fail for me. It's only obvious in the swatch for India Intrigue that they go on really patchy and the color sinks into lip lines. I tried these many times over several weeks and my lips were never dry during that time. I do know that stains are known to have a dry appearance but I own a few stains and non have ever looked like this. Also, these feel/look more like a gloss. That said, these lippies do feel super creamy on the lips and they're not sticky. The color on these don't stain my lips, as the name of the product would lead you to believe. Probably because it barely goes ON my lips!
I was really surprised that I didn't like these because they've gotten so many great reviews. Like I said, it does FEEL nice, it just doesn't look good on my lips at all. I actually returned London Posh and LA Exclusive (the only reason I didn't return India Intrigue is because I no longer had the receipt).
The Revlon Moisture Stains retail for around $10 depending on the store and are sold at drugstores, Ulta, Target, or anywhere that Revlon products are sold. If you want a glossy Revlon lippie that feels great on the lips the Lacquer Balms are my absolute favorites and I'd recommend those any day! You can see my review on those HERE.
Have you tried these lippies? What do you think??
