Frugal Friday - Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Cream Gel Shadow - Review

Today's Frugal Friday will be featuring the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eye shadows.   These retail for around $7 depending on the store.

I have the shades Bad to the Bronze, Edgy Emerald, Sleek and Spice, and Tenacious Teal.

From Maybelline:
Ink intensity. Tattoo tenacity. Dare to wear the longest lasting shadow. Maybelline's Eye Studio Color Tattoo's ink technology creates the most saturated shadow. Cream gel smoothes on for vibrant, crease-proof color that never fades. Dare to get inked.

  • 24 hour wear without creasing or fading
  • Ink pigments for intense color
  • Unique cream-gel texture

  • Bad to the Bronze is probably one of the most popular colors from this line.  It's a gorgeous shimmery bronze and you can really wear it with any other color.  I later bought Sleek and Spice which I regret because it's SO similar to Bad to the Bronze.  Somehow I got lucky and got Edgy Emerald and Tenacious Teal on Clearance for about $3 each.  Both of those colors are absolutely gorgeous and bright.

These shadows are very creamy and pigmented.  I apply them with my finger but I have also applied them with a very dense shadow brush and that works well too.  I've used Edgy Emerald and Tenacious Teal as base colors on my lid to really make the powder shadows I apply on top "pop".

L-R: Bad to the Bronze, Edgy Emerald, Sleek & Spice, Tenacious Teal

Overall, I absolutely love the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadows and I'd love to get more.  I know recently there was a "nude" collection which is what Sleek and Spice is from.

If you haven't tried these shadows, I highly recommend you find a sale, use some coupons, and bring some home!

Have you tried these eye shadows?  Is there a color I "have to" get??

    Have a wonderful weekend beauties!
