Frugal Friday - Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent Pearl - Review

Welcome to another edition of Frugal Friday!  Frugal Friday is a series that I created in which every Friday I feature an affordable drugstore beauty product.

This week I will be discussing the Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent Pearl which is a highlighter.

This highlighter retails for about $13.99 but can often be found on sale.  It is a pressed powder with raised pearls in a few light shimmery shades.

This compact has two compartments.  The powder lifts and underneath is a mirror and a small brush.  Yes, it's a junky brush but I actually keep the brushes that come with these kinds of compacts.  I think that because of their flatness, they work well for contouring with bronzer or even applying the highlight to my cheekbones.

I use this as a highlight on my cheekbones and it also looks nice under the brow bone.  As you can see below, it's a very subtle shimmer so it looks gorgeous in the light.

I think the Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in the Translucent Pearl shade would work on most skin tones.  It also comes in a beige shade and a couple of bronze shades.

Have you tried this highlighter?  How do you like it?

  1. I love the packaging and it looks so pretty. I've never tried anything from Physician's formula but I have heard it was going to come to the UK so I'll definitely stock up when that happens :o) Xx

  5. I love this. I have it in Beige Pearl. I am grabbing for it more than any of my other highlighters. I am working on a post comparing three right now. I agree, the translucent shade would work on all skin tones. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Oh I agree, the brushes are so lame! But I do keep them and sometimes I use them to contour the hollows of my cheeks with bronzer. They work pretty well for that. Thanks for visiting!
