Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eye Palette* - Review

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.  Did you get any shopping done?  I did some internet shopping but I was certainly not brave enough to go to the actual stores!

Today I'm going to talk about this wonderful Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eye Palette I was able to try from BrandBacker.

This palette comes in a sturdy cardboard type case with a magnetic closure (not unlike a ZPalette).  The magnetic closure is pretty strong so this would be a great little palette to travel with.

The top part of the palette includes easy to follow instructions on creating a simple smokey eye look.  The palette itself includes 4 eye shadow colors and a blush.

Snowy Glow - This is a peachy pink blush and is such a pretty color on the cheeks.
Frost - Shimmery white
Coal - Dark gray/black
Platinum - Shimmery light gray
Glimmer - Shimmery gold

These colors go wonderfully together for different shades of smokey eyes.  I love doing a nice dramatic smokey eye for the evening and this palette is going to be perfect for the holiday parties I have coming up!

I created this shimmery smokey eye, by first dusting Platinum from lid to brow.  I then added Coal all over the lid and then used Frost on the inner corners of my eyes and the inner part of the lids.  I added Glimmer above the crease under my brow bone for a nice highlight.  To get some added shimmer on the lid I sprayed a flat shadow brush with my Urban Decay setting spray and dipped the brush in Frost and packed on a few more layers on my inner lids.  I then blended everything to soften out any lines.

I also used Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil in Zero, Jesse's Girl black liquid liner, and Starlooks eye pencil in Topaz (this is the silver liner you are seeing).  I finished it all off with YSL Faux Cils Mascara.

What a great palette for so many festive smokey eye looks, and it's only $25!  You can get the palette for yourself or a gift HERE.  Not only is it reasonable priced, but my readers can also use the code SGHOLIDAY for 10% off your entire purchase on the Studio Gear website!

Note: Although this was a sponsored post, these are my 100% honest opinions.  I will always be 100% honest with my thoughts and opinions with you guys!
