Beauty Crown Awards Week 2 - Facial Products

The Beauty Crown Awards are a yearly favorites collaborative effort including beauty bloggers around the globe. The Beauty Crown Awards were created by Lily from Beauty with Lily Liz from My Pretty Obsessions, Jackie from Five Two Certified, and Shalunya from Shalunya & Boyet.  The Beauty Crown Awards are a 5 week event with each week covering types of products.

Week 2 of the Beauty Crown Awards covers Face Products. Below are my Week 2 selections:

Primer
I use BareMinerals Prime Time.  I've had this bottle forever because I don't wear primer everyday.  I only wear primer if I'm putting more effort into my makeup look (i.e. not at work).  I'd love to try Porefessional or Smashbox next.

bareMinerals - Prime Time™ Foundation Primer

BB Cream
I've actually never tried a BB or CC cream!  Should I?  :)

Foundation
My HG foundation is Estee Lauder Double Wear.  I've tried many others and always go back to this one.  I love that it's totally full coverage and it truly does stay all day, even without primer.

 Double Wear

 Powder
I currently use Estee Lauder Double Wear Powder but I'm not very attached to it.  It's quite heavy to use as a setting powder.  I have an order of the Ben Nye Banana Powder on its way to me so I'm excited about that!  :)

Concealer
I've had Chanel, YSL, Laura Mercier, Estee Lauder, Lancome, MAC, and probably many more and I haven't found one that I love.  I have dark hereditary circles, fine lines under my eyes, I'm also very dry so it's hard for me to find a concealer!  Help a girl out, anyone out there have my problems and can recommend a good concealer??

Brightener
I've actually only ever used the Benefit Watt's Up! brightener so I guess that's my fave for now.

Benefit Cosmetics - Watt's Up!

Highlighter
I love MAC Prep + Prime.  I only use this for going out at night and I actually use it instead of an under eye concealer.

 Prep + Prime Highlighter

Blush
I love Nars Orgasm!  It's super pigmented but can be applied lightly or built up.  I feel like this color would look gorgeous on most skin tones.

NARS - Blush

Bronzer
I LOVE Urban Decay Baked Bronzer!  Nars Laguna is a good color for me to contour with but the UD Baked Bronzer is great for all over my face.

Urban Decay - Baked Bronzer

 Palette
I finally got my hands on the Urban Decay Naked Palette and I love it!  All the hype is true, the colors are super pigmented and buttery smooth going on.  Highly recommend.

  1. Have you tried or heard of the Laura Geller Real Deal Concealer? It's serious business. I really enjoy it under my eyes. It's like a thick foundation but it doesn't crease. It's pricey at $22 but you get a huge amount .7oz which would last a loooong time. They sell it at Ulta. Does Ulta do samples? Why don't I know? Anyway. I hear great things about the Estee Lauder Double Wear. Great list I really enjoyed reading it. Would you kindly drop your link into the linky tool at the bottom of the post? Thanks for sharing with us.

    1. Hm, I've heard of Laura Geller but never heard anything about the concealer. I'll have to check it out next time I'm at Ulta. Thanks for the suggestion!

  3. These are all wonderful picks! I'm very curious about the Bare Minerals primer spray?!?! I'm so happy that you have an order of the Banana Powder going your way!!! I hope you love it as much as I do =D I have some of the Estee Lauder foundation, it is amazing! Full coverage, no questions about it! The Benefit Watt's Up is a favorite of mine too! I can't wait to order a full size one. NARS Orgasm blush is simply amazing and I agree with you! It goes well on any skin tones. Thank you for sharing with us your lovely picks! xo

    1. Oh no the Bare Minerals isn't a spray, it's a pump. Yes, thanks for the suggestion of the Banana Powder! After you left that comment on my page I went and watched a ton of youtube vids about it and I was sold (though I forgot to order it until a few nights ago)!

  4. I love that primer as well! And I totally had a long journey as well finding the right concealer for me so don't give up! For me the Inglot and Maybelline Lumi under the eyes have been working ok. A little creasing but once it sets it's fine. I love your week 2 winners El! Can't wait to see next weeks!

    1. I'll have to look into those 2 concealers, thanks for the suggestion! I tend to stay away from buying drugstore concealers and foundations b/c you can't try it out first and it's just such a hassle to return. Thanks for the comment!

  5. So many amazing things! I really want to try that Estee Lauder foundation!!

I also have horrible hereditary, dark, nastyyyy, undereye circles! They are awful! I've been using Eve Pearl's salmon corrector and concealer duo. I use the salmon corrector under my MAC ProLongwear concealer, and it works wonders!!!

The Eve Pearl duo is really creamy and it does crease....so that's the only downside to it. But I'm willing to have a bit of creasing than having to deal with zombie eyes! Hope this helps! <3

  7. I haven't tried a NARS blush yet. I really really need too! :( The Naked 1 palette is on my list too. I have the basics and the Naked 2 palette, but not that one. The Urban Decay bronzer looks amazing. I'll have to swatch it next time I go to Ulta or Sephora. Great picks! :)
