Zpalette - Review

Do you ladies have tons of cases of eyes shadows, blushes, bronzers?  I used to have a TON of small plastic eye shadow cases (palettes?) and a lot were through a GWP (gift with purchase) in a department store.  I also had a lot that I bought myself including Maybelline, Clinique, and one from Urban Decay with 10 shadows in it.

Zpalettes are makeup "cases" that have an open magnet on the bottom and a clear lid so that you can easily see what you've got inside.  They come in many sizes and super cute prints.  Here's a professional photo of a case with shadows and blushes.

How it works is that you have to "depot" the eye shadows from their cases.  There are many ways to do this but I took the easy way out and just used a screw tightener from an eyeglass repair kit.  I squeezed it in the side of the eye shadow pot (between the metal pot and the plastic case it was attached to) and tried to loosen the sides so that I could pop the eyeshadow out.  Sadly though, since I did it the lazy way some of the shadows crumbled so I lost those.  HERE are some much better ways to depot.

After you've depotted the shadows, check to see if the pots are metal.  Some of mine were not truly metal and therefore wouldn't stick to the magnet at the bottom of the Zpalette case.  Fear not though because if this happens you are in luck because magnetic stickers are provided with each case!  Then comes the fun part where you get to organize your shadows however you want them in the case!

Here are some photos I took during the entire process.  Please forgive the quality, it was last year and they were taken with my iphone.

Arrange your shadows however you like.  I arranged them to get as many shadows in there that I could.

Final product!  Much different from the pink one above, but this is real life.  :)

I LOVE mine!  With the large size, I got rid of so many plastic eyeshadow cases and now have just my Zpalette.  I'll probably be purchasing another one very soon and most likely the "Pro" size.

So if you find yourself with tons of little eye shadow palettes or blushes/bronzers go ahead and get one of these and put them all in one handy case!
